Position Overview:
We are on the lookout for a skilled and passionate Character Artist to join our talented team. As a Character Artist at Virtual Replica Studios, you will be responsible for creating compelling and lifelike characters that resonate with audiences. Your creativity and technical skills will play a crucial role in shaping the narrative and enhancing the overall visual experience of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and create high-quality 3D character models, including sculpting, texturing, and rigging.
Collaborate with concept artists, animators, and the art director to ensure characters align with the creative vision and project goals.
Develop character designs that reflect personality, emotion, and backstory through visual elements.
Optimize character assets for performance while maintaining high visual fidelity in various platforms.
Participate in team reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback to enhance the quality of character assets.
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques to continually refine skills and contribute innovative ideas to the team.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a Character Artist or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing character design and modeling skills.
-Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Maya, ZBrush, Blender, or similar applications.
-Strong understanding of anatomy, proportion, and character design principles.
-Experience with rigging and skinning characters for animation is a plus.
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a creative environment.
